Le Laboureur

Every nation has its own workwear history and France has one of the finest. Since the industrial revolution, French workers have been clothing themselves in hard-wearing moleskine garments, famously dyed that gorgeous hydrone blue.

Le Laboureur, established in 1956, was bit late to the party in the scheme of things, but they make an incredible product. Basically the Dickies or Carhartt of France, you can still find these garments in rural hardware stores as well as big city boutiques. For some reason, no North American stores carry their pants, which are just as good if not better than their jackets.
